Migration management

Every data migration project is based on clean migration management. Typically, in this first step we develop with you:

Migration technology

The heart of every data migration is the technical mapping of the transformation logic. But it requires much more. To move relevant and sensitive data securely between systems, we use our own data transformation tool, the dacon DataBridge. It works in many ways:

Migration test

The fourth component of a data migration is our migration strategy. With it, we can get you started testing the transformation programs as quickly as possible.

Why all this? Old data sets in particular are often heterogeneous – and therefore inadequate. The cause is a variety of system changes during the operational life of the old system or through previous data migrations.

The aim of our migration teams is to start the detailed analysis of this old data set with the legacy system experts at an early stage. We succeed in this because we carry out continuous professional and technical controlling of the data stocks during the implementation of the migration programs.

Migration review

We document all test migrations, the final rehearsals of the data migrations and of course the productive data migration in an audit-proof manner. The review is then carried out together with you as the customer.

The following individual steps are required to finally secure the migration results:

Creation of a migration log - with information on the number of successfully and unsuccessfully transferred data per target system
Audit-proof storage of the mappings and transformation programs used
Logging of the identified check digits (data comparison: legacy system unloading vs. target system loading)
